My work takes me to the most random places. This month it was Sugarcreek Ohio! Designing and Propping a feature film that will be the first in a series of films based off of the Sugarcreek books.
This month I did some local production work for a friend's short film. Two Erin's are better than one!
Behind the scenes photo of Graham Greene and I chatting about the props for the scene in the film "Broken Trail." Photo by Daniel Nansel.
Not only is it PRIDE MONTH, but I am also FINALLY BACK TO WORK!! I will be Production Designing a Feature film currently called "Broken Trail". It's a Period film, set in the late 1800's so I am super stoked to add this to my resume!
I did it! I worked my tail off and made a movie! I had an amazing crew and the support of my Wife and family. It was a dream and I know it is only the beginning for me. I learned so much during this process and I cannot wait to Direct my next project taking the knowledge I gained with me.
Atlanta Film Festival was amazing this year! Faceless after Dark had one of it's final screenings and took home the Best Georgia Feature Film award! I was able to be with friends and family in Atlanta and I had an amazing time! Photo Credit to the always talented, Chase Anderson.
Pre-Production for REVIVAL is under way! I wrote a short that I will produce, Direct and star in this May. This is the biggest project I have yet to produce, and I am beyond ready! I got tired of waiting for the next thing to come my way, so I decided to do something about it! More to come :)
I miss being on set. There I said it. I haven't worked on a movie or an episodic since July 2023 and it's really sinking in. I'm amongst the many who thought that once the strike was over the work would come back, boy were we wrong. Is stuff still shooting? Well yeah.. but not nearly enough to provide a job for all of the out of work crew

I'm amongst the many who thought that once the strike was over the work would come back, boy were we wrong. Is stuff still shooting? Well yeah.. but not nearly enough to provide a job for all of the out of work crew members. I have had a few great auditions and I've been able to focus on my writing so that's a plus. Good has come out of the time off but I do miss it.
Well HAPPY FLIPPIN' NEW YEAR! Top of the year calls for some fresh photos. I was fortunate to collab with a local filmmaker in Lafayette La. Matt Valentin - Video Production (videographerlafayette.com) and makeup artist Isabel • Makeup Artist (@isalazar.mua) • Instagram photos and videos
This month was a blur. In a good way! Family in town, hustling to get a few home renovations finished before the holidays. We pulled it off and had a wonderful winter break. Ready to kick it in gear 2024.

Something I have found over the past few years is that I thrive when I am creating. I am more myself on set than anywhere in the world. I absolutely love the work I do in the film and television industry, and I look forward to what this next chapter has in store.

For those of you living under a rock..the writers' union AND the Screen Actors Guild are BOTH on strike. How does this affect me? Well as an aspiring member of SAG I too stand with the unions, and the SIMPLE demands they ask for. These are hard working people who are not making anywhere near the profits they deserve when the streamers and execs are raking in an INSANE and almost unbelievable salary. These executives believe that AI technology can "do the work" of both writers AND actors, it's mind blowing. I am also a member of IATSE and we stand with the WGA and SAG. For more information go to Home | SAG-AFTRA .Strike (sagaftrastrike.org) I am grateful that the production I am currently working on is part of the Interm Agreement list and we are able to finish filming.
Cheers to NEW beginnings, new friends, happy fulfilling days and HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!
HOPE GIVERS SEASON 2!!! The Emmy award winning public broadcasting show was renewed for a second season and I was asked to come in and design. Tamlin Hall the founder and I had to go bigger this time around, so we did! Very similar vibe but with an extra retro flair. The show premieres this August on GPB.
Atlanta Film Festival was better than ever! Not only did Kid Free Weekend have a slot in the fest-run but the set-up, the parties, and the staff were ON POINT this year!
I booked a super fun lead role on a proof of concept short, and I am so excited to share more as it comes!
The month for lovers <3 I had the opportunity to link up with friends and work on a badass proof of concept action short. Filled with stunts and chaos. I worked as the Designer and Props person, one of my challenges on this shoot was starting my new healthy eating regime right before! I will report that I was good to my body, no crafty for me!
Getting back into the groove of writing and studying my craft. I am good at a lot of things; I can say that with confidence. I can also say that there's always room for improvement. A couple of my favorite things to do in life are to learn and grow. (sounds cheezy AF but it's true!) I have to flex and workout that acting muscle constantly

A couple of my favorite things to do in life are to learn and grow. (sounds cheezy AF but it's true!) I have to flex and workout that acting muscle constantly! Acting is something I LOVE with my entire being. It makes me FEEL and it makes my soul happy! A few 2023 goals of mine are to read more books, scene study, character work, and basically practice my acting every-fucking-day so that I can become better at something I truly love. I'm so grateful for the opportunities I have had thus far, and I am amped beyond belief for what the future holds.

This month I started production on a series called These Stones. This is a faith-based series starring Madiline Carroll. I worked as the Production Designer / Prop Master! Super excited to share this work :)
New photos! This month I was fortunate to have been able to get a shoot scheduled with Chase Anderson. We took some bad ass Portraits and Headshots, in my opinion Chase is one of Atlanta's top headshot photographers.
Feels so nice to take some time off. Lauren and I went to FL and spent some much-needed time with family.

April was my chance to get started! So far, I have been connecting with this acting technique really well, I love how Warner developed a safer way to "get there" I plan to continue my education after level one and proceed on to learning level two. I take this course over at Greenlight Acting Studios with Erin Bethea.
A killer month for Commercial Auditions for me. I am so grateful to have a supportive and hardworking Agent. There's an exciting new project winking at me and I hope to share some of that news soon! As far as personal life goes, this month my wife and I spent a ton of time outdoors. We are ready so for summer! Thinking about renting a boat :)
Why do we as artists long for feedback? Validation? "Will someone just tell me I am doing all the right things!!!??" Why do we as artists long for feedback? Validation? "Will someone just tell me I am doing all the right things!!!??" Well, it's because we are giving ourselves to people over and over and we don't always know if what we are giving, is enough. Feedback is reassurance to keep moving forward to continue to give it all we got and then just let it go.
I recently attended a Casting workshop where I was given some amazing feedback on a self-tape submission. In my opinion, this industry isn't about getting used to rejection anymore, it's essentially about getting used to a lot of "radio silence", we ultimately have to get used to being ghosted. But not out of any ill will, and not because they "don't like us", but because casting offices don't have enough time in the day to explain to each actor, "why it wasn't you this time around." They have to keep on casting.
Casting wants us to "win" just as much as we want to! If we do the work, it makes their job easy.
If you get the opportunity to attend a CD's workshop, do it!
For this workshop, I submitted my mock audition tape and was given 6 specific feedback answers from a very well-known Casting Office. Pure gold.
For me February was about Feedback, and I am thankful.
Team Kid Free Weekend did it! We made a bad ass creature feature! Thanks to Rozalyn Mattocks, Charles Gilbert and the entire KFW crew for having faith that I could carry this film. We will premiere at the Renegade Film Festival and the sky is the limit after that! March 5th, 2022, The Strand Theatre, Southern Discomfort Film Block.

A lot of times on low budget films like this one, the Art department will be cut down to about two people. This type of workload isn't for everyone, and it can feel overwhelming at times, but I will say that I do enjoy these lower budget indies because they allow me the freedom to make decisions that on a larger budget film, I would have no say in.

A few months back I was virtually introduced to someone who I am PROUD to now call a FRIEND, his name is Tamlin Hall.
He shared his ideas and vision for his amazing new series with me, and I hit the ground running. I built myself a tiny team and together in May we brought his vison to life. The series will air on PBS in September of 2021.

Here is a sneak peek of my design, "The Hope Givers Loft."
Welp, I landed back in town on a Friday and started up on a new show (Long Slow Exhale with Paramount Pictures) the following Monday!
Who needs time to breathe? Not this girl. Nahhh.

CURRENTLY IN THE 2021 FESTIVAL RUN
When I am asked about this project the first thing that comes to mind is, "It's my baby". It has been three years in the works. The series pilot for Dusso is currently in the early development stage. The proof of concept trailer had it's debut (and won an award) at the Women in Horror Film Festival in Atlanta. It then went on to screen at the Burried Alive Film Fest, and the Axe Wound Film Fest.
